  • Phase I 810 m Multipurpose jetty (4 berths)– Operational 1843 m Container Terminal (4 berths) and T-2 (4 berths) – Operational, 1 barge berth 1 SBM and other backup facilities – Operational

Facilities developed:

  • 725 m Multipurpose berth (1 container and 2 multipurpose) – Operational (1995)

Under development/plan:

  • Construction permission for Second Major expansion (Expansion (Construction of three new liquid berths, Conversion of Liquid berth L1 to container berth ) – approved by the Board at the cost of Rs.1853.5 cr.) was granted by GMB in March 2015
3 Dahej LNG terminal – operational since February 2004

Facilities developed:

  • LNG Import facilities of 5 MMTPA
  • Solid Cargo Port terminal 2 berth by Adani PetronetPvt. Ltd.
  • Second LNG Berth

Under development/plan:

  • Solid cargo port terminal phase 2 development (Mechanization)
4 Hazira LNG terminal operational since April 2005

Facilities developed:

  • LNG import facilities of 10 MMTPA
  • Bulk General Cargo Terminal by Adani Hazira Port Pvt. Ltd. – 5 berths

  • Further Development for Bulk General Cargo Terminal.

1 Chhara
  • ShapoorjiPaloonji has been selected as the developer on April 25, 2008
  • Concession agreement signed on January 29, 2015
  • Environment clearance received in January 2014. Financial Closing in progress
  • Land Acquisition is in progress.
  • GoI is being requested to expedite the construction of Somnath-Kodinar new B.G. line (36.91 km) to provide the last mile connectivity to the Chhara port.
  • In-principle approval for development of LNG Terminal in sub-concession has been granted by GOG.
2 Khambhat
  • IL&FS was selected as Bidder. DPR has been prepared.
  • The proposed site has to be relocated on the downstream of Kalpasar dam. Kalpsar Dept. is conducting the studies for allocating a new location in lieu of Khambhat. Kalpasar Department has been repeatedly requested to expedite all the required studies.
3 Mahuva
  • Proposal for cancellation of LOI issued to M/s Nirma Chemical Pvt. Ltd. is under consideration.
4 Dahej (Container and SEZ) LOI issued to M/s. Sterling Port Ltd. Partial land is acquired and other land is under acquisition. Environment Clearance received. DPR is approved and construction is in progress.
5 FSRU LNG facility at Jafarabad LOI issued to M/s. SWAN Energy Limited for setting up India’s first FSRU LNG port facility at Jafarabad. DPR is in final stage. Land acquisition initiated.Concession Agreement to be executed.
6 Dholera
  • Site is to be relocated in view of prominent project of Kalpasar. Techno-Feasbility studies will be carried out by Kalpasar department in consultation of GMB for identifying new port location.
7 Poshitra
  • Developer selected (Gujarat Port Poshitra Co. Ltd.)
  • Partial land acquired, Hon’ble Supreme Court has allowed to carry out study through NEERI for Environmental issues
  • Environment clearance awaiting
8 Establishment of 3 additional SPMs at Sikka - M/s. RPTL
  • 3 SPMs installed and made operational
9 Establishment of 2nd SBM at Hazira
  • Detailed studies and investigations are under progress.
10 Extension of captive jetty at Magdalla - M/s. Essar
  • 592 m jetty is constructed and made operational
  • Dedicated channel and direct berthing port facilities in 550 m length as a part of second phase is also made operational.Construction of 1100 m further extension is under progress.
  • Company intends to expand the deep water jetty in further length.

20 Dahej Port
  • The port is being developed by M//s. Sterling Biotech Ltd. The total port capacity in Phase I & II will be 41 MMTPA. The concession agreement is signed between Gujarat Maritime Board and Sterling Port Limited for the development of Dahej port on BOOT principles.
21 Nargol Port
  • M/s Cargo Motors & Israel Ports have been selected as port developer and LoI has been issued in August 30, 2012 .
  • Extension for validity of LOI till Dec 2017 has been approved by GOG.
  • DPR submitted by the company which is under scrutiny.
  • Information received from their consortium partners for leaving the project.Company has to tie up with other Port developer.
22 Nana Layja – Dist. Kuchh
  • In-principle approval granted to M/s. Sealand Ports Private Limited for developing dedicated coal terminal for upcoming SEZ in Kuchh district
23 Akrtimoti – Dist. Kuchh
  • In-principle approval granted to M/s. Archean Chemical Industries Private Limited for development of dedicated captive jetty for chemical products
